So…What do you do?
I have been asked many times, “Are you a professor 👨🏫 ?” Nope! I am an online tutor.
Well, that is not entirely true. But before we go there, let me tell you a bit more about me…my educational background that is…
I started off by working on getting my undergraduate degree just like you. This was back when we still had to use paper 📝 and pens to take notes.
Around my junior year, I heard about undergraduate research ⚗️🌡. I had no idea 🤔 💭 what it was. But I thought I would give a try.
Well…
Game over! I was hooked!
I thought, “So you are telling me that I can spend my time making things and studying things that can have a major impact in the world 🌎 😮?”
Sign me up 🙂🙃🙂😀!
It was a no brainer 😉 that I would now be applying to graduate school to get my masters degree in OCHem. I could not wait 🤗 to start so I could ONLY take classes that I was interested in.
Just wait my friends…you will see that OCHem can be fun, exciting and something you can do…with no worries 😌.

Graduate school was like….Candyland.
I got paid to learn and make cool 😎 things all day.
Once I got my BS degree in chemistry 👨🎓and then finished my MS degree in organic chemistry 👨🎓, I knew there was no way that I was stopping here.
Hey PhD…look out…’cause here I come!
OK – so I thought the masters program was cool, but the PhD program?
A whole new level!
Hard work? Absolutely!! But I got to learn and do so many amazing things. And meet just as many amazing people.
But I could not stop here, right?
So, I kept going….and going…🏃…
…and finished 2 years of post-doctoral research in medicinal chemistry and 1 year of continuing education in biology.
If you want the math on all that, it was a total of 16 years of non-stop fun after high school.
Alright – Let’s get back to that “I am a tutor” thing from the start.
Although I had a fantastic time, I saw…
…so many students really struggle 😡😤😱🤦♀️🤦♂️🙇♀️🙇 with OCHem. And that bothered me 🤔…
Many students are still terrified 😱 and/or hate 😡 this class. And it does not have to be this way.
And then it clicked 😮💡! I could change the way people see and experience organic chemistry 🙂. And that is when I started my own business teaching online.
Well actually, I started teaching organic chemistry way back in 1998. And yes, I have heard, “that was when I was born 👶 🍼 ” many times.
But I REALLY started teaching in 2011 when I decided to take the leap and start Organic Chemist On Call.
And from there, it became much more than teaching OChem. It became not about me teaching you…but about you!
What are your hopes and dreams? What are you looking to get out of life?
Whether you can answer this right now or not…don’t worry! However, don’t waste another minute 🕐🕑🕒 worrying about organic chemistry!

Simple molecule like water, I got NMR in Mumbai IIT as a big peak and two small peaks on both sides of it sa satellite peaks -two proton molecule, no carbon !!!!!!
